Description
Katuk is a perennial shrub that tolerates frequent harvesting and can produce leaves year-round in warm climates. It has a high nutrient density and is often eaten to support good overall health.
Young leaves and tender shoots can be:
- Eaten raw in small amounts.
- Stir-fried.
- Added to soups and curries.
- Blended into smoothies (though cooking is generally preferred).
The more you harvest the young shoots, the bushier and more productive it tends to become.
